2nd Anniversary Date Weekend

Oh yes....this last weekend was a celebration of 2 years of marriage. Our actual anniversary was on Tuesday, but we waited until Friday for the festivities to begin. :)

My mom came and picked up Aidan around 3:30 on Friday and then we were home free! We drove out to the plaza to enjoy a relaxing and delightful time at The Melting Pot. We had lots of food and enjoyed the pleasant unrushed atmosphere. When we finished dinner, we realized it was snowing hard and so instead of walking around, we headed straight for Barnes and Noble. We read for awhile before braving the cold and snow for our somewhat longer than usual drive home.

We went to bed early considering our ability to sleep in and I still woke up at the usual time because my body is just adjusted to Aidan's sleeping patterns. It was still nice not to have to get up and start the day though. We took our time getting ready in the morning. I called to check on the little one and then we were off to breakfast at First Watch. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes for a table, but it was totally worth it! After breakfast, we went to the mall where I spend some time hunting for jeans while my very patient husband looked on. I selected a pair, picked out some cute jewelry, and we left that crazy place. :) We then went to Babies R' Us with the intent of buying Aidan a new forward facing carseat. Instead, we left with a new stroller and some odds and ends...We also found out that our crib was a recall. Our last stop was to the The Smoothie Factory where we got some delicious smoothies before heading over to pick up Aidan. When we arrived to get the little guy, he was delighted to see us, but had been so good for his grandparents. It's nice to be able to leave him and know that he will be taken such good care of.

All in all, a wonderful anniversary weekend. Yeah!

9 months

My little guy is now 9 months old! It is amazing how fast time has flown by!

Aidan now has 4 teeth and loves to chomp on everything. He enjoys eating crackers and peas, and is a very good little eater all around. He is busy, busy, busy. He is cruising all over the place and is getting very good at standing alone for short periods of time. He has even taken a couple steps by himself!

Just in the past few days, we have adjusted his schedule to just have 2 naps a day.He is still not taking very good consistent naps since his teeth came in, but I am hoping that we'll get back to that place again soon. He is still sleeping a good 12 hours a night and that is always a blessing!

Aidan spends two days a week with his Grandma while I am at work and does great there. He is such a super social little guy and loves to talk to everyone he meets. Yesterday, while I was holding him in church, he reached over to the guy standing next to me and grabbed his jacket. Then he reached his arms out to him, wanting to go to him. He managed to make it all the way down the row loving on each person who would respond to his desire to be held by them. He loves to laugh, and will make all sorts of sounds to get attention from us. He has such expressive faces and it is funny to watch him interact with people.

I love him so much and can't believe how big he is getting already.
