So He Says....

Conversation taking place after a series of noises coming from Aidan:
Me: Aidan, do you have gas?
Aidan: Nope, that's just fireworks Mom.

Seth: Aidan, would you like to have a new baby brother or sister sometime? (No, we are not pregnant!)
Aidan: Can we sell Nora?

So He Says...

Aidan purposefully dumped a cup of water out of the tub onto the bathroom floor. I (Seth) went and got the wooden spoon that we use for spankings.
"Aidan," I said, "You deserve a spanking for pouring water out of the tub. You know you aren't supposed to do that. But I'm not going to spank you; I'm going to give you grace."
"What's grace?"
"It's when you deserve a punishment for something, but I don't give you the punishment."
"You aren't going to give me a spanking?"
"No. You deserve one, but I'm going to give you grace instead."
"I like grace!"


Aidan: Do I have dirty sin?...in my bottom? (very interested about sin, grave, heaven, and Jesus these days)

Aidan talking to us at dinner: "Yesterday we drove to heaven with you guys and saw Davis."
Me: "Where is heaven?"
Aidan; "He's Davis's daddy!" (Kevin)

Aidan putting on a new pair of pants: "I get to grow up in these pants?!"

So He Says....

Me: "Which stamp do you want me to do?"
Aidan: "You can do the old one, cause you're old."

Aidan grabbing my bra and holding it up to himself:
"I'm going to be a mother and put this on my boobs."

Mita (Seth's mom): "He likes ice and salt. He has my genes."
Aidan: "You like ice and salt on your jeans?"

Hearing the ice maker in the fridge:
Aidan: "What's that?"
Me: "The ice maker."
Aidan: "Oh...it's dancing?"

"This is my wand. It tects (protects) me from the bugs." (Holding out some long wooden object)

Me: "Aidan, do you need a punishment?"
Aidan: "I want to eat a mint!"

"I'm being so fankful (thankful)." (Says this while hugging himself)

Look Mom!

"This is my wedding fress and I'm getting married."

(he took apart a whole package of quilt batting)

So He Says....

Me: "I need to go fix our lunches."
Aidan: "Oh, cause they're broken?"

"Mama, your hair looks silly." (as I'm fixing it)

Aidan: "Sumpin hurts."'
Me: "What hurts?"
Aidan: "My feelings." (We found out just 2 days later he had a severe ear infection).

I"m thirsty with lots of ice!" (Aidan says this several times a day--basically he wants us to put some ice in his cup)

So He Says...

Driving by the lake...
"We saw boobies there yesterday!" (buoys)

After telling Aidan that he hurt Nora's feelings....
"I'm sad too, Mama. I hurt my feelings on the chair."

Touching my chest (completely covered)...
"I'm touching your milk."

"I want to go to the airport and go to South Carolina." (He keeps getting confused about whether he's in Kansas or SC)

Coming out of the bathroom at a run, pulling his underwear up, tripping, standing up and exclaiming....
"I'm the masked retriever." (from Backyardigans)
